This was an interesting experiment! I had no idea if I would like the outcome of turning a picture into a kaleidoscope. However, with a few Google searches, I was able to find a website that I could upload a picture into and it turned it into a kaleidoscope for me.
I used http://funny.pho.to/kaleidoscope-photo-effect/as the source for creating this picture. It was super easy. All I had to do was upload my picture and it did the rest. It also gave the option to crop the picture, but I decided to keep it the way it automatically did it for me. Originally, I was going to use GIMP, but it didn’t want to download onto my computer. Thankfully, there are other websites that do it right there.
I decided to come up with and use “In symmetry there is order. Through chaos there is beauty” as a way to describe my new picture. There’s something very orderly about this picture, maybe more of a pattern, but it works. There’s also a lot going on, as my water bottle decided to be part of this picture as well, hence some chaos within a fairly pretty picture of flowers. I enjoyed this Daily Create!
