Parking during the semester is a pain. It takes a lot of planning for when you have to create your schedule in order to find the right time to get a parking spot on campus. Very careful planning. When I get to campus, it’s usually hours before my first class because I need to find a parking spot near the buildings that I have class. That parking lot just happens to be Marcil and it just so happens to be one of the most populated parking lots on UNE’s campus.
This past academic year, I had to go into the classrooms to observe more than I have in the past. This required me to stay at the schools until I had to leave for classes. While that was a great experience, getting to campus during the first afternoon class rush is the worst. It’s almost impossible to get a parking spot in Marcil. But there are a few times when the stars align and the perfect spot is open or someone is just leaving.
I spent a longer than usual amount of time looking up memes. I see them all the time, but I never had to create one before and I decided to do some research. I had no idea what I wanted to do. I thought maybe I could do something that related to my future teaching career, but I wanted it to be something that we could all relate to. Maybe we all don’t commute to school, but for those of us who do, it can be a struggle. However, we may all have been in a situation where we can never find a parking spot that is close to where we want to be. And when we finally find a spot, it can make any day a better one.
